Games

• Coaches of teams scheduled for the first game are responsible for getting the field ready for play (setting up goals, corner flags, etc...). Team parent may designate a parent to provide this help instead of the coach.
• Have players arrive 10-15 minutes prior to game time. This will allow warm-up time and players will be ready to step onto the field at game time.
• All games must start on time. If a game starts late, playing time may be reduced at the discretion of the referee.
• During the game the coaches behavior needs to be a model for parents and players.
• Coaches must provide a parent to act as a linesman for the game if the referee so designates.
• Provide players with a post-game assessment. Note player’s success- ful plays and good efforts. Offer opportunities to improve and challenges to be met at the next practice. Remember to coach and not to criticize.
• Provide snacks and an opportunity to socialize after the game (please use your “team parent” to organize this).
• Coaches of teams scheduled for the last game are responsible for storing the equipment and leaving the field presentable. Team parent may designate a parent to provide help instead of the coach. return to information main
